Terms of Service

Effective date: July 11, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 11, 2026

⚠️ These Terms still require a qualified-attorney review before public release, bundled with the biometric-consent language. Items marked [ATTORNEY] (governing law, liability caps) require completion by counsel.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using the SquatchPix application ("App") or visiting squatchpix.com ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use SquatchPix.

2. Description of service

SquatchPix is a personal photo and video archive application that ingests media from your device and from third-party cloud services (Google Drive, Google Photos, OneDrive, Dropbox), deduplicates it, generates AI captions and tags, and makes it searchable via a native app. The Service is operated by JM Squatch LLC on managed Microsoft Azure infrastructure; copies of the media you choose to sync are stored on our infrastructure to provide these features, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country) to use SquatchPix. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Your account and device

SquatchPix identifies your device by a randomly generated install ID and your sign-in identity. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the identity-provider account you sign in with. You must not use SquatchPix to store, process, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, or violates third-party rights.

5. Third-party services and data sharing

SquatchPix integrates with third-party APIs. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies, and SquatchPix is not responsible for their availability, API changes, or data loss they cause. When you connect a source, you authorize us to access and process the specific data below on your behalf:

  • Google (Drive, Photos, Sign-In, Play Integrity) — we read the photos and videos you select and your basic profile (name, email) for sign-in. Our use of Google user data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use.
  • Microsoft OneDrive (Microsoft Graph) and Microsoft Entra Sign-In — we read the photos and videos you select and your basic profile for sign-in.
  • Dropbox — we read the photos and videos you select.
  • Microsoft Azure — our hosting, storage, and AI sub-processor. Media and derived metadata are processed here to provide the Service.

We share your content only with the sub-processors needed to run the Service. We do not sell it or share it with advertisers or data brokers. See the Privacy Policy for the full sub-processor list and legal bases.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use SquatchPix to process content you do not own or have rights to.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App or its backend.
  • Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
  • Circumvent security controls or authentication mechanisms.

7. Intellectual property

SquatchPix and its original content, features, and functionality are the property of JM Squatch LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

SquatchPix™, the SquatchPix logo, and the SquatchPix mascot are trademarks of JM Squatch LLC. You may not use them without prior written permission.

7.1 Your content

Your photos, videos, and other media ("Your Content") remain your property at all times. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

To operate the service, you grant JM Squatch LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, copy, transmit, index, analyze, generate derivative metadata from (such as captions, tags, perceptual hashes, and — where you have enabled it — face groupings), display, and otherwise process Your Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the service for you. This license exists only to let us run the features you use and ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for content already contained in routine backups, which expires on our normal backup-retention schedule.

We do not sell Your Content, do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and do not use it to train generalized AI/ML models. Our handling of Your Content is further described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

SquatchPix is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will not be lost. SquatchPix is not a backup service of last resort — keep your own copies of important media. You use the service at your own risk.

[ATTORNEY: Expand warranty disclaimers per applicable jurisdiction requirements.]

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SquatchPix and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of the service.

[ATTORNEY: Jurisdiction-specific caps and carve-outs.]

10. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

SquatchPix's core features are currently provided free of charge. If we offer paid features or subscriptions in the future, they will be sold through the app store you installed from (for Android, Google Play). All purchases, billing, cancellations, and refunds are handled by that app store under its own terms and refund policy — for Google Play, the Google Play refund policy. Nothing in these Terms limits, shortens, or overrides any refund right the app store grants you. We do not separately process card payments or store your payment details.

11. Termination

You may stop using SquatchPix at any time and delete all your data via the in-app deletion feature or by contacting privacy@squatchpix.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice.

13. Governing law

[ATTORNEY: Specify governing jurisdiction, e.g., "These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], USA," consistent with JM Squatch LLC's state of formation.]
